Figures provided by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency have revealed that more than 10,000 motorists issued with 12 points or more on their licence are continuing to drive on UK roads.

The north of England was said to have the worst record, with figures in the Lancashire Telegraph showing that 118 motorists in East Lancashire have been issued with a dozen or more points in June 2017.
